Where do I go?
Fairlawn is a growing community and we are excited that you are considering visiting with us in person. We would like to personally greet you and help you and your family find your way on your first visit.
There is a Welcome Center in the foyer of the Worship Center that is staffed each Sunday morning to assist newcomers as they seek to find a Life Group that fits their unique needs.
Maps of the campus, the weekly bulletin, and Visitor Packets are all available at the welcome center throughout the week. We would love to help you find your place at Fairlawn Baptist Church.
Where do my kids go?
When you know your children are in a loving and safe environment you can relax, allowing you to focus on worship and Bible study.
Preschoolers are actively engaged in play while learning about God’s love for them. As you enter the Preschool & Children’s Wing from the Worship Center, you will walk past our youth area and arrive in our preschool wing where you will be greeted by a loving and caring volunteer staff who will ensure your child has a great time and a safe time.
All children in Kindergarten - 4th grade attend classes on the Preshool and Children's wing of our education building. Our Greeters will assist you and your children in finding your way to the appropriate class.
Children’s Worship – PRAYGROUND is offered during the 10:30 AM Sunday morning worship service. Boys and girls, 1st through 4th grade are introduced to the concept of worship kids style as they are engaged in a host of worship related activities that include music, games, scripture memorization, and a life application lesson. In PRAYGROUND they learn about God and His plan for people as they worship together.
The Bridge - is offered for those in 5th grade and is intended to help them during these critical years of transition.
HAVOC - is a very unique pace of worship for our students from 6th through 12th grade. Here they worship together, relax and have fun. We believe this is an environment for developing strong relationships with friends but more importantly strengthening their relationship with God.
What are worship services like?
Webster defines “worship” as:
Wor•ship 1. reverence or devotion for a deity; religious homage or veneration 2. extreme devotion or intense love or admiration of any kind.
Intense love and admiration! Extreme devotion! That’s how we describe worship at Fairlawn Baptist Church. We gather together each week to worship God as a family and to express to Him our love, our thanks, and our devotion. Come be our guest as we worship the Lord together!
Our worship services blend the comfort and familiarity of traditional worship with the excitement of a contemporary worship service through both instrumental and vocal music. The Choir and our Instrumentalists lead in worship through the singing of hymns and choruses. A variety of worship singers, soloists, and small groups bring special selections as offerings of praise to our Lord. Members of Fairlawn Baptist Church also worship by giving, and through prayer and Bible study, which is led by Senior Pastor, Jason Spade.

What do I Need to Bring?
Many members and guests find that it’s easier and more fulfilling to participate in Bible study when they have their own copy of the Bible with them during worship so that they can underline or highlight particular verses for later study. During worship key Bible verses will be displayed on the overhead screens for those who do not have a Bible with them and for those who carry a different translation.
For other Bible study times, you may prefer to bring a notepad and pen or pencil for taking notes.
What do I wear?
No matter what your personal style, you’ll be comfortable at Fairlawn Baptist Church. If you prefer dressy, business, or casual attire, chances are there will be others dressed much like you no matter when you visit. Sure, Sunday mornings are a time when many prefer to dress up a bit, but even if jeans are more your style, you’ll be right at home with us. Naturally, Sunday and Wednesday evenings are slightly more casual than Sunday morning, but dress up for these if you prefer.
Preschoolers and children learn while they play. We encourage hands on play so that children are learning through all their senses. Painting and other “messy” activities are also encouraged, so use your own judgment about how dressed up your child is while at church.
Our Middle and High School students usually dress casually on Sunday and Wednesday evenings because games and sporting events are often held outside and sometimes involve getting messy
